HOG ROAST at THE IGLU RESTAURANT
Peelham are joining forces with The Iglu Restaurant, 2b Jamaica Street, Edinburgh on 16th September to have a hog roast as part of the Scottish Food Fortnight.
Free range Tamworth pork roasted the old fashioned way combined with Iglu's amazing food. Whether it's a snack or a meal come along to The Iglu on Sunday for a real treat!

'On the Farm at Peelham & Slow Food Lunch'
Sunday, 26th August, 2007, 10.00am for 10.30 start.
The day will include seeing our livestock and crops, discussing their management, bringing in wildlife and biodiversity and also managing for public and leisure activities etc. This will involve a walk and there will also be a trailer for those who prefer not to walk!
Menu:
Mixed BBQ with pork, ham, sausages, lamb, upland field-raised veal. To accompany this, there will be a wide selection of salads and vegetables and bread, all local. There will also be Laprig Apple Juice and Peelwall’s cider and wine (as a pay-bar).
There will be local soft fruit, meringues, ice-cream, cream and cheeses to finish off with !!
Can't be too specific as we will be both local and seasonal
Cost will be:- £17 for members, £20 for non-members (join on the day and receive your discount!) £10 for under 16 year olds, under 5's free.

Slowfood farm-bonding day.
A day for Edinburgh Slowfood and Berwick Upon Tweed Slowfood Convivia including
a slow lunch of Peelham Farm Produce and locally sourced vegetables, cheeses,
fruits and icecreams

Scotland's FIRST Horse and Carriage-dog Trials.
This unique competition which involves ridden and driven obedience and endurance with Dalmatian
dogs is also to have a class for “any other breed”. A demonstration will take place on Saturday
20th and the Competition itself will run on Sunday 21st.
Horses are available to hire for competitors coming from a distance and there is camping on site
for competitors and spectators. The emphasis will be on fun and lots of help and encouragement will
be on hand for first time entrants.
