Delivery

How does your order for our products get to you from Us, What does it cost  & What are the deadlines ?

Our  wish is for everyone to access and benefit from our Organic Meat products.  As a small dedicated team, we work hard to make this as easy and as least costly for you as possible. We use our own van for local deliveries and depend on couriers to deliver orders further away. 

DELIVERY:

Orders over £85 are delivered FREE OF CHARGE. You can also opt to pre-order and collect, for free, from any of the farmers markets listed below. Just choose one of the  markets that we regularly attend at the check-out.  You can also collect free from the farm during weekdays only and before 5pm.

For orders less than £85 delivery to the UK Mainland south of Fife is £7.50. 

Courier companies add a surcharge to deliveries to the Highlands and Islands generally north of Fife.  We have unfortunately had to add a further £5.80 to deliveries to the Highland & Island postcodes listed here  in our "Carriage cost to Scottish highlands & Islands" category in the main page.  If you find your post code in the description of the category we would be very grateful please if you would add £5.80 to your cart to cover the postage cost.

Other UK islands and Northern Ireland PLEASE DO PHONE OR EMAIL YOUR POSTCODE BEFORE YOU ORDER and we will advise you of the cost and delivery time. Carriage costs can be between  £28.57 + VAT  -  £32.66 + VAT depending on time of delivery.  This is based on a parcel weighing no more than 10kgs

Evey Saturday we are at Leith Market (Dock Place) Edinburgh.  Every Sunday we are at Stockbridge Market, Sanderson St Edinburgh. Every second Saturday we are Glasgow Farmers Market (Mansfield Park).  Every first Saturday we are at Edinburgh Farmers Market, Castle Terrace.  Every fourth Saturday we are at Kelso Farmer Market in the Market Square. We can bring your order to any one of these markets for collection to save you the carriage charge.

YOUR DESTINATION:  

If you or the destination of your order are local we will deliver with our van to North Northumberland on Wednesdays and to The Scottish Borders, Glasgow and Edinburgh on Thursdays. We will confirm this with you.

If you or the destination of your order are any where beyond this we will use a courier.  We normally send products on Thursday for a Friday  delivery (normally by midday); If you are in the Scottish Highlands & Islands or Northern Ireland, your order could take 2-5 days which is why it is essential that you let us have your email address to check before you order

We will confirm the delivery day with you when we receive your order.  If you are receiving your order by courier you will receive the tracking details by either email or text directly from our courier company.  We do not use courier services on Fridays for weekend deliveries.
 

ORDER DEADLINES FOR DELIVERY THE SAME WEEK:

Orders for Sausages, Burgers, Sausage-meat, Meat-loaves and Cooked Ham by midnight Sunday please. 

Orders for Charcuterie & Salamis, Bacon & Gammon  and Fresh Meat cuts need to be with us by 5pm Wednesday.

Orders received after these deadlines will be carried over until the following week.

PREPARATION

We prepare your order in our certified organic butchery and pack everything chilled, fresh, ready for dispatch.  We send your order to you securely wrapped with frozen gel icepacks to keep it chilled and insulated in biodegradable recycled protective wool padding and packaging.
